Bernie’s Colorado Journeys has been traveling around Colorado for a while now and along with seeing wonderful scenery I’m also interested in history.

I spent the afternoon at the Art Institute of Colorado in Denver interviewing faculty member Cynthia Petrus, and students; Ritika Valdehra, Jared Barner, and Judi Bortier. While cities across the nation are wrestling with homelessness, the problem is especially acute in Denver, where skyrocketing home prices and an influx of newcomers have helped swell the ranks of those living on the streets. In fact, renters need to earn $35/hr to be able to afford housing in metro Denver.
