Dr. Michael R. Greher, ABPP/CN, of National Jewish Health, and Dr. Michael W. Kirkwood, ABPP/CN, of Children's Hospital in Denver, present "MILD TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY THROUGH THE AGES: SCIENTIFIC UPDATES" for the 27th Annual Conference of the Brain Injury Association of Colorado in October 2009 in Denver.
Both are associate professors at the University of Colorado Denver School of Medicine.
Dr. Kirkwood focuses some of the discussion on pediatric brain injury, and their comments draw some lively debate toward the end regarding diagnostic imaging.
Denver City Councilman Paul Lopez and Census Outreach Specialist Martha Rodriguez present details of the 2010 Census and explanation of its importance in hopes of encouraging all residents to fill out the coming forms. Rodriguez assures citizens and immigrants, even illegal immigrants, that the Census is confidential, has only 10 questions and is important to Colorado funding for public services like schools and streets. Lopez and Rodriguez tell residents how to be sure Census workers are not ID thieves and where to call for any other questions.
Healthcare for All Colorado holds its annual Gala Awards Dinner Jan. 23, 2010 featuring Journalist T.R. Reid speaking and answering questions about healthcare systems in other countries as compared to what exists in the USA. Reid also reviews the Massachusetts upset in muted tones.
