The 2010 Legislative Session committee hearings include bills on telemedicine and adding two new members to the Pinnacol Assurance board. Some think of Pinnacol as a private mutual insurance company owned by policyholders with goals of amassing billions to purchase other insurance companies. And then others think of PInnacol as the "political subdivision of the state" as mentioned in statute, with specific purposes outlined in statute of caring for injured workers and their families, paying salaries and operating expenses.
