




On April 1, 2009, Fossil Fool's Day in Denver, Colorado, I brought my passion and some cameras and joined the rally to support a safe climate and clean air in Colorado. We can not afford to see our planet's climate and resources decline into an unlivable irreversible condition.

Senate Bill 244 would require health insurance companies to provide treatment for autism, but some insurance company lobbyists don't like that idea. And some parents of autistic children do like the idea. This committee hearing March 19, 2009 includes testimony from Dr. Phil Strain, CU/Denver professor of educational psychology and psychiatry, and also a behavioral researcher. And also Dr. Stephen Block, founding executive director of Denver Options, which provides services for autistic children.
<p>Denver Open Media's First Friday events happen live from Studio A! Local artists are invited to perform. February's episode features a celebration of the 10 year anniversery of Cafe Nuba. Ashara Ekundayo guest hosts along with Tony Shawcross for a night of music and poetry. A two set performance is done by the Wil Key band, and Cafe Nuba poets Day Acoli, Lady Speech, and Nubia grace the mic with some spoken word.</p>
