The Kempe Children's Center hosted a conference in Denver of the International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect. And our cameras were there to record (the late) Dr. Ruth Kempe speaking at the closing ceremonies.
Also, Judge Gill from Connecticut was the keynote speaker, illustrating the need to save children from their torturers.
Laura Barnitz was a keynote speaker at the Blue Sky Bridge Conference in 2002, speaking about Human Trafficking in attempt to change attitudes and improve eyesight.
Rather than punish children being prostituted, as Barnitz had witnessed, she advocated for law enforcement to recognize them as victims in need of help to escape. Barnitz also identified others as complicit in the sex slavery of children if they accept advertising money or lodging rent in trade for turning a blind eye.
This episode of The Burning Cradle is devoted to the closing ceremonies of the Kempe Children's Center's conference in 2004 of the International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect.
Dr. Ruth Kempe, who with her husband Dr. C. Henry Kempe pioneered the recognition of common child abuse, spoke to a conference presenters and attendees from around the globe. It is perhaps her last filmed public speech before her passing a few years ago.
Also, Judge Gill from Connecticut is the keynote speaker, reprising the need for society to end child abuse and neglect.

Jan Patterson is a member of the Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests, who attended the SNAP conference in Denver and spoke to Paula Rhoads Hook about her son, who committed suicide.
After investigating, Jan and her husband learned that numerous teens and young adults associated with their Catholic parish had also committed suicide. Eventually, they linked these suicides to their sexual abuse by one Catholic priest.
This is perhaps the most persuasive episode for why child sexual abuse is anything but harmless.
