Victor Towle on Social Skills, a primer for the holidays
In Project: Brainiacs

Victor Towle, of Craig Hospital's outpatient therapy department, is also now elevated to president of the Hangout board, making him a perfect speaker on SOCIAL SKILLS right before the holidays.

Maybe this seems basic, but for people disabled by traumatic brain injuries, these are things they may need to re-learn or even review. Things like regular bathing, what to wear, what sorts of things are appropriate to talk about in a group over Thanksgiving Dinner, etc.

Social skills, or the loss of them, can leave many brain injury survivors unaware that something they said was taken as an offense by others. Isolation is a common prison for many TBI survivors as a result of being abandoned by family or spouses.

Also, Paula reviews recent news about gun violence as well as football violence for profit.

Is it up to mothers to prevent their sons from playing football and getting brain injuries? Or up to the sons' future potential spouses?
