Obama boo-boo
In Project: Brainiacs

Career colleges are enrolling brain injured veterans, President Obama is quoted as saying, implying what? That this is a waste of money or that they should be accommodated if they wish to have part time hours?

Paula takes on the president this time, tho she voted for him last time, and provides scholarly quotes to support her position that many TBI survivors are employable, but slow voc rehab contact (Miss.) or fraudulent worker's comp (Colo.) delays are not proper care or in the public's best interests.

Mitt Romney said we would repair holes in the safety net for the poor. So what does Obama say? Leave TBI to wait? And wait? And wait? BOOOOOOOOO.

Oh, and that $290,000 CU Boulder spent to quash the 4/20 pot smokers would afford how many students a full year of tuition instead? Or what else could we buy with that? Add it to the $365,000 for police overtime to show a presence at Occupy Denver and we almost could buy Rosedale Elementary to house 200 homeless now sleeping on the 16th Street Mall. But the public already paid for that building, so why should we pay for it again? Or Baker Elementary in Wheatridge? Same. These people could be raising chickens and arrugula right now.

Guest quotes today include Dr. Receveur, Judy Dettmar, Brick Johnston and Jim Tannen.

BTW, Paula's grant proposal to the Colorado Traumatic Brain Injury Trust Fund (due yesterday) includes training for 8 TBI at DOM's public access tv station in BEAUTIFUL downtown Denver. Maybe if the Obamas take Paula to lunch or be on Brainiacs, she will help him clarify.

First, tho, Paula brags about her peach trees and tomatoes IN THE GROUND already despite the average annual frost date for the Denver area being May 6! It's a risk.
