Lettuce
In Project: Brainiacs

March 30, 2013 is a great time to send lettuce and spinach seeds out to cavort with the snow, so if you never spent time this winter dreaming through a seed catalog (like they used to do) then this is your last warning. Maybe.

It is sooooo easy to grow spinach and lettuce in Colorado that it is also a crying shame if you must spend hard earned dollars on expensive salad greens instead.

Paula's new practice of cutting out the "middle management" of compost has brought "kitchen composting" to a new level only recommended for sloths and eccentric gardeners.

Later in the show Paula expounds on Mr. Holmes' rejected plea offer, capital punishment, solitary confinement, Colorado's mentally ill inmate problem. OK, just because a triple tessla MRI of her brain proved she had been telling the truth all along doesn't mean Colorado should save tons of money applying same 3T MRI to all those mentally ill inmates and murderers, does it? OK, besides the obvious cost savings? Don't forget numerous people wrongfully convicted of various things putting them in prison, like Tim Masters, etc.

Maybe Paula is working on commission? But don't tell Ann, station manager, or we'll have to knock the audio out again. This is public access tv, you know.

This show finishes up, after some wishy washiness, with showing why Saturday makes any difference when considering Colorado Revised Statutes 8-43-101 and 102 about: (1) permanently physically impairing injuries, and (2) three shifts or calendar days lost time from work for an injured employee, or (3) written notice to employer excluded by ALJ Harr, or (4) actual knowledge of employer, etc., etc., etc.

Can you learn something there? Only if you might someday be caught in Colorado's filthy worker's comp system. Cross your fingers and hope, hope, hope. Click your heels and repeat after Dorothy: .... there's no place like Colorado, there's no place ...
