The Burning Cradle: ISPCAN
In Project: Brainiacs

This episode of The Burning Cradle is devoted to the closing ceremonies of the Kempe Children's Center's conference in 2004 of the International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect.

Dr. Ruth Kempe, who with her husband Dr. C. Henry Kempe pioneered the recognition of common child abuse, spoke to a conference presenters and attendees from around the globe. It is perhaps her last filmed public speech before her passing a few years ago.

Also, Judge Gill from Connecticut is the keynote speaker, reprising the need for society to end child abuse and neglect.

The closing ceremonies are followed by comments from people from many other countries, which underscores the continuing impact worldwide of these luminaries.
