Bipolar Disorder
In Project: Brainiacs

Jane Mountain, MD, author, speaker, coach, teams with Vocational Specialist Brenda Mobly, of Mobly Employment Services, to discuss Bipolar Disorder today, as well as accommodations to allow disabled people to work.

Paula Rhoads, host and producer, is disabled by a traumatic brain injury, but one doctor favored a diagnosis of bipolar disorder before her astounding recovery as a result of corrected prescriptions for a brain injury.

But because the symptoms of bipolar disorder can be so very similar to some brain injury symptoms, this opportunity to make comparisons in search of differences is before us.

Jane's website, www.BeyondBipolar.com offers more info on her two books on this subject. And Brenda's website, www.blm.com can connect viewers to her support services helping disabled people understand what accommodations could help them work and help employers understand overcoming obstacles.

Meanwhile, Paula brags of her basil starts from the hot October sun being just about ready to take inside where they will spend the winter in her south-facing window and provide fresh spice.

We're off to the Brain Injury Association of Colorado's 28th Annual Conference, with speakers available at biacolorado.org.
