Bernie's Colorado Journeys; learns about the Penrose house in Colorado Springs - show #15

In this show we’ll travel to the Penrose House on Mesa Avenue in Colorado Springs. Built as a single-family residence in 1910. The home was purchased and renovated by Spencer and Julie Penrose (the builders of the Broadmoor hotel) starting in 1916. Today, The Penrose House meeting facilities are available free-of-charge to any nonprofit organization or government agency. The house is normally closed to the general public but open one day a week to view its history such as a unique 1916 pipe organ in the foyer having 2800 pipes hidden in the overhead, tapestries made in the year 1495, and a collection of original Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec advertising posters.
