Bernie's Colorado Journeys; goes looking for a World War I “dawn patrol” - show #34

Its not all about the mountains and other natural beauty that brings folks to Colorado, there is some great technical things to see, such as a number of historic railroads, the Denver Mint and aviation collections. The Vintage Aero Flying Museum is located 3 miles northwest of the central business district of the town of Hudson, Colorado and houses a historically significant and internationally recognized collection of WWI memorabilia. Their collection includes artifacts from the Golden Age of Aviation (1918 - 1939) in addition to WWII items. Vintage Aero Flying Museum is the home of the Lafayette Foundation in honor of the men who served in the LaFayette Escadrille and the LaFayette Flying Corps during WWI. The Lafayette Flying Corps is a name given to the American volunteer pilots who flew in the French Air Force during World War I and it includes the pilots who flew with the famed Lafayette Escadrille squadron. Lets go for a walkabout in the overflowing hanger of the Vintage Aero Flying Museum with Andy Parks.
