This time on Bernie’s Colorado Journeys we will travel to a castle; Jim Bishops Castle to be specific, located 9,200 feet above sea level along the Frontier Pathways Scenic and Historic Byway in Rye Colorado, which is about 1 hr. 45 minutes southwest from Colorado Springs. 

Some would say the castle is a genuine Wonder of our contemporary World. Built entirely by the TWO hands of ONE man with the support of a loving family and the acknowledgement of a higher power. Bishop castle is living testament to what a self-proclaimed “average guy” can accomplish in a free country armed with his dreams and the determination to make them real.
