The CPT, which runs the debates, allows only Republicans and Democrats to participate by setting a high polling threshold. Dr. Jill Stein, Green Party presidential candidate participated in an "alternate debate" on the Democracy Now! show and then attended a debates "after party" at the Mercury Cafe in Denver.
