In the 1880's, one of the many tourists who visited the Pikes Peak Region was Zalmon Simmons, founder of the Simmons Bedding Co., yes…the Beautyrest mattress guy. 

Mr. Simmons rode two days to the summit of Pike's Peak on a mule but wanted to experience the trip in a more civilized and comfortable way, so he built a railroad!

Planning ahead with advance directives is a very useful approach to state and have acknowledged how we wish our last moments to go on this earth. It can be a crucial document to help us pass on in the best manner possible. We also hear what it is like to be with a dying person at the end and how best to assist in this dying process without getting in the way. Both practitioners share their fears and courage around this, one of the most poignant times in life.
