<p>Eleven days into Kevin Pettit's traumatic brain injury coma, the doctors were counseling his family that he would be a vegetable, but his sister begged Kevin to respond, and he did. His story is a perfect illustration that brain injuries don't always destroy intellect. His ""dysfluency"" has not stopped his ability to author a book and act in musicals, including the current Phamaly production of ""Side Show.""
