On the first Friday of every month, Open Media Foundation holds a free community event, Open Music Sessions, at the Denver Open Media studios (near the Sante Fe Art Walk) that spotlights local performance groups, comedians, musical acts, and nonprofit organizations.

February 2015's event features live musical performance by the Ian Cooke Band, stand up comedy from Zach Reinert, and a non-profit spotlight on the Colorado Criminal Justice Reform Coalition (CCJRC)
