On the first Friday of every month, Open Media Foundation holds a free community event, Open Music Sessions, at the Denver Open Media studios (near the Sante Fe Art Walk) that spotlights local performance groups, comedians, musical acts, and nonprofit organizations.

Eef and the Blues Express was the featured musical act in September 2014. This is their song, "I Aint Gonna Wait Forever."
