On the first Friday of every month, Open Media Foundation holds a free community event, Open Music Sessions, at the Denver Open Media studios (near the Sante Fe Art Walk) that spotlights local performance groups, comedians, musical acts, and nonprofit organizations.

The May 2015 broadcast features live musical performances by local groups Curta and Qbala, stand up comedy from Rachel Weeks, and a non-profit spotlight on Denver Food Rescue.
