On the first Friday of every month, Open Media Foundation holds a free community event, Open Music Sessions, at the Denver Open Media studios (near the Sante Fe Art Walk) that spotlights local performance groups, comedians, musical acts, and nonprofit organizations.

In October 2015, Pretty Mouth was the featured musical act; Timmi Lasley was the comedian; and the Nonprofit Spotlight highlighted Beanstalk Foundation and the work they do across Colorado.
