On the first Friday of every month, Open Media Foundation holds a free community event, Open Music Sessions, at the Denver Open Media studios (near the Sante Fe Art Walk) that spotlights local performance groups, comedians, musical acts, and nonprofit organizations. The July 2016 broadcast features a live musical performance by local rock band The Take, stand up comedy from Zac Maas, and a non-profit spotlight on Colorado Black Arts Festival.
