Gora Gora Orkestar films NPR Tiny Desk Contest video

A Balkan style brass band, Gora Gora Orkestar ("Mountain Mountatin Orchestra" in basic Slavic language) formed in Boulder in 2009. It features a couple of saxophones, trombones, trumpets, drum kits, a sousaphone (AKA tuba) and a designated vocalist. Their Eastern European folk music is fairly unique in the Denver area; only a handful of groups similar to them are in Colorado (more tend to form in regions with greater Slavic populations). Gora plans to expand its audience through a greater online presence, this includes filming a video of their spirited performing for NPR's Tiny Desk Contest.
