CiviCON Denver- Deepening Relationships with Supporters
In Project: CiviCON Denver
Speaker: Andrew Hunt

CiviCRM has built-in tools for managing low-involvement supporters, high-value donors, and active volunteers.  Organizations don't often recognize the ways that CiviCRM can help you strengthen relationships with supporters, identify their interests and capacities, and grow them as valuable contributors to your mission.

This workshop will start with building an engagement plan for a subset of your constituents, identifying interests and laying out steps that move the lightly-engaged to the actively-involved and active donors and supporters to grassroots leaders.  We will then operationalize these: we'll identify things to track over time and actions that staff can take to reach prospects.

Finally, we'll look at the step-by-step processes within CiviCRM to turn that plan into a routine that consitently brings in new leaders.  We'll include features within CiviMail, CiviCampaign, CiviContribute, and extensions such as CiviVolunteer, but we'll also show how some of the most powerful tools for identifying and growing volunteer leaders are in the most basic CiviCRM features.

This is an interactive workshop that will respond to participants' ideas, experience, and needs.  Attendees will take away a handful of principles, a process for developing plans for constituents of their own organizations, and an array of tools within CiviCRM that make it simple to do the engagement work.
