On the first Friday of every month, Open Media Foundation holds a free community event, Open Music Sessions, at the Denver Open Media studios (near the Sante Fe Art Walk) that spotlights local performance groups, comedians, musical acts, and nonprofit organizations.

In August 2015, The Still Tide was the featured musical act; Byron Graham was the comedian; and the Nonprofit Spotlight highlighted Women's Bean Project and the work they do throughout Colorado.
