Sacred Voices' Open Mic Radio

Sacred Voices is a youth focused, indigenous poetry and spoken word organization based in Denver, Colorado. Formerly known as Cafe Cultura, this organization began in 2004 as a response to the Columbus day protests. Since its inception, Sacred Voices has become known for its monthly open mic, which takes place on the 4th Friday of every month, poetry workshops, and classes. The open mic takes place every month at Denver Open Media's Studio A, the 4th Friday of every month at 6:00pm. Poets featured in these open mics are usually youth focusing on topics of indigenous or other cultural identity, LGBTQ issues, or local issues.
