Fight Back - StayLoose
Published: 05-30-18

Proudly wearing the term #genrekiller on his sleeve, the long-haired electronic musician StayLoose earned his musical chops playing guitar in bands. After his band Boys won a Guitar Center competition that granted a $30,000 reward and a slot opening for Jane’s Addiction on their Nothing’s Shocking 20th anniversary tour, he used some of the prize money to invest in new music gear. Through learning his way around new equipment, he quickly began crafting niche electronic sounds under the moniker StayLoose.

Through recent S/T debut LP, Dim Mak single "Fight Back," and well received remixes for the likes of Doja Cat, Rozes and ODESZA, StayLoose continues to push the boundaries of his production, foraying into experimental pop electronic with an alternative edge. His music has been highlighted on Alternative Press, Billboard and Pigeons & Planes, and supported by established acts such as Bassnectar, Alison Wonderland, Louis The Child, and Zed’s Dead. StayLoose's unique genre fusion has proved successful.
