You don't have to be a producer or content creator to enjoy Denver Open Media. Every Friday we open our studios to the public to celebrate community, creativity, and culture.
Open Music Sessions
Every First Friday of the Month
With a storied 12 year history, Open Music Sessions is our premiere, monthly celebration of live local music (and sometimes comedy!). Every First Friday of the month, along with the entire Santa Fe Arts District, Denver Open Media hosts two new Colorado-local bands. Free and open to the public, we ask that attendees offer donations to support musicians.
Support for Open Music Sessions comes from the Bohemian Foundation and from Denver Arts and Venues, whose generous grant awards have empowered local artists in Denver and Northern Colorado.
Additional support comes from our friends at Sexy Pizza, Intrepid Sojourner Beer Project, Crazy Mountain Brewery, Renegade Brewery, and Lamar's Donuts, whose donations fuel community spirit and enrichment.

Third Friday Open Mic
Every Third Friday of the Month
Brought to you by Blissfest333 and Denver Open Media, Third Friday Open Mic puts the microphone into the community's hands. Musicians, comedians, poets, and performers are invited to join us in Studio A every third Friday of the month to flex their creative chops on stage, live-streamed for our followers online. There's no online registration required, just drop-in at 8 PM on any third Friday to sign up for your slot.
Sacred Voices
Every Fourth Friday of the Month
Sacred Voices is a youth-focused, indigenous poetry and spoken word organization based in Denver, Colorado. Formerly known as Cafe Cultura, this organization began in 2004 as a response to the Columbus day protests. Since its inception, Sacred Voices has become known for its monthly open mic, which takes place on the 4th Friday of every month. It is the only open mic in town that is focused on youth.
