The Housing boom in Denver has caused a lot of displacement of the poor and low income families, it is also causing landlords to try and force some longtime tenants out in favor of new tenants for the possibility of rent increase and profit. Some rentals are increasing $500 a month or more upon renewing a lease. Also some landlords may even be using scare tactics and false record keeping to force out tenants.
