EarthLinks is an innovative, urban nonprofit in Denver, Colorado, that provides a work program for people who are homeless and low-income to learn skills and create Earth-friendly products that sustain people and the planet. We are a community of people who are currently experiencing or who have previously known homelessness. Together, we care for each other and for Earth.

Wealthy corporate interest led by the Oil & Gas industry have worked in coaltion with the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) to write laws challenging every aspect of democracy. ALEC advocates making the Citizen Ballot Initiative too costly as well as requiring supermajority votes to pass. Colorado Inititiave 71 in 2016 follows ALEC's prescription to place the Citizen Ballot Initiative out of reach for the people, ultimately accessible only to the wealthy corporate interests that promote the initiative.
