I had the privilege of being invited to listen in on a meeting of like-minded people interested in the heritage of the old west and in the Ute Indian nation people.
The meeting was held at the Sky View Casino resort in Ignacio Colorado, which is located on the Southern Ute Indian Reservation, and is about 6 hours drive time south-west of Denver.
There were three separate groups represented at the meeting; one were folks interested in Ute prayer trees or another way of saying it, culturally modified trees.
Roll Up Your Sleeves and Vote is a campaign aimed at getting people out to the polls. Here's how it works: Vote! Write "I voted" on your arm, take a selfie, post it on social media, and challenge five people to do the same.
