Gora Borealis with Tubasco Sauce - Gora Gora Orkestar

A Balkan style brass band, Gora Gora Orkestar ("Mountain Mountatin Orchestra" in basic Slavic language) formed in Boulder in 2009. It features a couple of saxophones, trombones, trumpets, drum kits, a sousaphone (AKA tuba) and a designated vocalist. Their Eastern European folk music is fairly unique in the Denver area; only a handful of groups similar to them are in Colorado. Gora recorded this track as part of a video entry for NPR's Tiny Desk Contest.
