This documentary series tells the grisly tale of Chinese Christians being arrested and persecuted by the Chinese Communist government. Some have been hunted by the CCP police, some arrested and tortured, some sentenced to prison, some injured so badly that they were crippled or killed. Their families were scattered, homes were broken, and people lost their lives. It is a faithful reflection of the lives and emotions of Chinese Christians and their families.

Liyan is one of the leaders of the Church of Almighty God. One time, on her way to a meeting, she was captured by the Chinese Communist Party's police and endured extremely brutal torture. When it was discovered that she was pregnant, the police utilized despicable methods to secretively administer medicine without Liyan's knowledge so that she would have a miscarriage. In order to conceal this crime, the police inhumanely injected her with a substance that incapacitated her. They forced her to take medicine that negatively affected her mental state.
