This project is a broadcast to help promote Denver Big Picture Schools and their unique approach to learning. A Big Picture School is an innovative small school where students learn through internships, interest based projects, college classes, and workshops. Students are taught to think critically and to work independently. Not many people know about our model or are confused about the design and as an aspiring journalist, I want to clarify this through creating a broadcast. I will be filming students on the scene in various positions throughout a typical day.

<p>A variety show with talent from Denver 's Amandla Charter Academy school. Videos from the media department will be featured along with highlights from this past year. The new Principal, Dr. Oscar Joseph will also be providing an update on the status of the school.</p>

Youth produced show by middle and high school students around the Denver Metro area. The S.O.S. show spotlights students who are involved in community, activism, organizing and social justice activities in their schools and communities. We also showcase talented young performers and artists.

PUTTING THE POWER OF THE MEDIA IN THE HANDS OF THE YOUTH!

<p>Denver Open Media is now offering a small, hands-on class in After Effects. This class will be taught by local award-winning music video creator Ravi Zupa and will be limited to only 3 students. This class will cost $75 for members, $150 for non-members and will allow for 4 hours of practice time at DOM's studio once a student completes the class. This class will last 3 hours and will be scheduled once inquiries are received.

<p>Deproduction's staff will be traveling to Austin March 12-23rd for SXSW</p>
<p>Everyone will be going down to Austin in two RVS. One RV will stay longer to allow for the Channel Austin Open Media Project Implementation.</p>
<p>Brian, Kevin, John, Tony, Ann and Deb will be there from the 12th to the 23rd in order to help Channel Austin with their implementation of the Open Media Project.</p>
<p>Sharee, Jackie, Krista, Dean and Sim will be there from the 12th to the 18th.</p>

<p>This project is designated for reservations in which we are receiving payment for.  This project is NOT to be used for commercial use of the studio, but for other common areas such as the MBD computer lab or the board room.</p>
<p><b><i>Meeting times are limited to around 2-3 hours and our space can only hold a max of 50-70 people depending on whether they are standing or sitting. Our hours available for free meeting space are, Monday 10am-6am, Tues - Friday 10am-9pm, Sat 11am-6pm</i></b></p>
