Judy Dettmar, CSU New Start Program coordinator and chair of the state Brain Injury Trust Fund board, presents research on a screening tool to identify students with brain injuries, many of whom do not adequately fit into other special education programs and who suffer greatly until accurate diagnoses brings accurate assistance. <p>Judy Dettmer, CSU researcher, presents work on a screening tool for school employees to use to segregate children with brain injuries from those in special education otherwise. Other researchers at CSU working on this project also present during this hour long program from the 25th Annual Vail Conference of the Brain Injury Association of Colorado in October 2007. Dettmer promised to update folks as this project continues, so watch for the 27th annual conference this October but this year in the Denver Tech Center @ biacolorado.org.
