On the first Friday of every month, Open Media Foundation holds a free community event, Open Music Sessions, at the Denver Open Media studios (near the Sante Fe Art Walk) that spotlights local performance groups, comedians, musical acts, and nonprofit organizations.

In Episode 2, three people who recently lost their parents share stories of what it has been like to lose them and how they are coping, healing and moving forward with their lives without them. It is simply human nature and the basic instinct to survive that most people avoid thinking about death. And we all fear the death of our parents. With sensitivity and grace, Life and Death will allow us to explore this scary yet inevitable event ahead of time, rather than waiting until it stares us right in the face.

If kids could vote

CiviCRM is awesome but it is not a solution - it is a tool. People capable of using tools effectively are the solution. Learning new technology is one of the most challenging tasks non-profit staff can do. Not everyone is "a natural" but you don't need them to be to use CiviCRM effectively. You do, however, need a plan not only to transition to CiviCRM but continue to function with CiviCRM when turnover occurs.
