Make TV Like the Professionals
Join Open Media Generation Today
Since 2008, we have provided youth with the space to develop critical hands-on skills in media production. In Open Media Generation (OMG), youth explore social issues by making both short and long-form television shows. Open Media Generation Presents, a 45 minute to hour-long live show, incorporates live studio productions, field reports, and short video segments that the youth create themselves. The youth alternate between essential roles to learn every aspect of media production, from critical internet research, directing, to operating all field and studio equipment, to finding the story in post-production. They gain invaluable technical and digital literacy skills while producing the program.
We expect students who participate to grow their technical and leadership skills during their time with us, leaving OMF with the digital literacy skills necessary to adapt and succeed in their future careers. Everyone from the ages of 11-18 is welcome to join, and young adults ages 19-21 can join as peer leaders too.
Parents and guardians, please email email@example.com to ask any questions and schedule a tour and get your child enrolled right away! Please submit a Consent and Release form as soon as possible to get your child enrolled in the program. You can also call Ann at 720-222-0160, extension 203.
If you know of a non-profit that engages youth and would like to be featured on Open Media Generation's LIVE show, please contact us at the above phone/email, or at OMG@openmediafoundation.org.
