When performing, Nieto aims to engage as many senses as possible, incorporating visual and performance art, passing ice cubes filled with trinkets around the crowd during one show. The music is heavily improvised, which means no set is ever the same. In Pink Hawks' repertoire, you can hear echoes of Sun Ra's off-the-rails piano, Jimi Hendrix's irreverent warping of blues guitar, and the languid stylings of Yo La Tengo. As much artistic revolutionaries as musicians, Pink Hawks make the world a far more interesting place. </span></p>
