Shawna: Cannabis Workers' Health Study

Concerned cannabis workplace health and safety issues? Interview with Shawna, an operations supervisor in a cannabis production facility in Colorado, about powdery mildew (PM) and other occupational health and safety concerns. Episode on Getting High on Anthropology is part of a University of Colorado Denver study called 'Air Monitoring By Settle Plate in Mold-Filled Occupational Environments.' The Colorado Multiple Institutional Review Board at CU Denver approved the study (#15-2444). Funds provided by CU Denver Office of Research Services.

The purpose of this exploratory and evidence-based pilot study is to conduct research to determine prevalence and magnitude of mold exposures (e.g. powdery mildew) and other occupational concerns for individuals who work in cannabis cultivation facilities and subsequent impact on health outcomes.
