Views From Denver

Host Nancy Ulrich interviews state Legislators and other public policy folks on current legislation, issues and efforts in a LIVE unscripted talk show format for 58 minutes on Friday afternoons at 4 pm on cable Channel 56 in Denver, or www.denveropenmedia.org ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD.

Rather than a hardball debate, we consider our show to be a "comfy chat with Nancy" that gives the public an opportunity to see and hear from people making new laws to solve many perceived problems. With hundreds of bills being introduced every Legislative Session, and many never making mention in print, VIEWS from Denver offers more in depth discussion of a few bills on themes that might not otherwise get much attention in the commercial press. Sometimes we just run videotape of committee hearings at the Capitol during the prior week.

VIEWS from Denver began during the 2008 Legislative Session, and continues most weeks toward its first birthday.

Host Nancy Ulrich is a past president of the Denver League of Women Voters and though this show is not a League show, the influence exists alongside a similar philosophy. Host Nancy Ulrich has also a long history in public access television going back 20 years and including work in Long Island, New York.

Producer Paula Rhoads and crew Dusty Rhoads also produce Brainiacs, at noon Saturdays on cable Channel 56 and www.denveropenmedia.org.

Legislators who have appeared on VIEWS from Denver include: Senator Ken Gordon, Rep. Terrance Carroll, Rep. Andrew Romanoff, Rep. Jim Rice, Rep. Alice Borodkin, Rep. Jeanne Labuda, Rep. Dianne Primavera, Rep. Gwyn Green, Rep. Frank McNulty, and probably a few more.
