Register on home page—denveropenmedia.org/user/register—to create an account. For your login name, we suggest that you use your first initial and last name.

Join DOMJoin DOM

Click on Join DOM, go to Memberships
1. Look at membership levels and decide what fits your needs
2. Do a quick review of the rules and regulations
3. Go to Individual Registration
4. Select the membership level and fill in all the blanks
5. Click on Continue

Register for a ClassRegister for a Class

1. Go to Take a Class
2. Click on Class Schedule, pick a class
3. Go to Register for a Class, fill in the blanks and click Submit
4. Don’t forget to pay. You won’t be fully registered until you do

Get CertifiedGet Certified

1. Attend and pass class
2. For studio students: complete one volunteer-internship on a studio shoot—one that isn't your own or your group’s show
3. Sign up on the Equipment/Facilities Scheduler at denveropenmedia.org/equipment to access new equipment/facilities for which you are certified

Make a Reservation for Equipment/FacilityMake a Reservation for Equipment/Facility

1. Go to denveropenmedia.org/equipment
2. Sign in using your login and password
3. Under Resources (to the right) scroll through list and select equipment or facility needed
4. Click on the Date (to the left) and a calendar should pop up, pick a date
5. Now under the correct day, click on the in the grid on the start time of the reservation (it will populate the start and end day/time). Then click on the end date/time in the grid (it will populate the fields below your log in)
6. Now fill in the Project Name
7. Click Submit
8. Read any warning that may pop up and click Ok
9. Double check to make sure you see your reserved slot is highlighted in green and your name appears in the slot
10. If you want to see a complete list of all your reservations, click on User Sign Ups

Check out Equipment/FacilityCheck out Equipment/Facility

1. Sign in at front desk
2. Check with staff member/intern
3. For Studio
a. Fill out equipment sheet and sign for equipment.
b. Staff prepares bin of equipment and completes sheet with quantities, inventory numbers, and all accessories.
c. Go to studio and turn on and set up equipment/set.
4. For Field
a. Double check reservations
b. Staff fills out equipment sheet, complete with quantities, inventory numbers, and all accessories
c. Producer checks for damage and sets up all equipment and does a test record and playback with headphones
5. For Editing
a. Make sure the edit station is reserved
b. Log in under Ingest only or FCP producer
or Log in on homepage, go to Ingest Process denveropenmedia.org/ingestprocedures and Ingest
c. Dominizing
i. Log in on homepage: denveropenmedia.org
ii. Click on Make a Show, then on Submit Content and finally on DOMinizer
iii. Fill out all fields on the DOMinizer page. Don’t forget to agree to DOM’s Ingest Agreement and to designate whether your program is suitable for all ages.
iv. When you are finished with all field, click Submit at the bottom of the page
v. On the Summary page, look for Click Here to Add Media File
vi. From the drop-down list, choose your program
vii. From the drop-down list, choose a timeslot for your program
viii. Click Submit
ix. You should see the summary page again, this time without the click here to add media file, and you should see at the top: Your Project Has Been Updated.

Return Equipment/FacilityReturn Equipment/Facility

1. For Studio
a. Gather and wrap up all equipment checked out
b. Put away and furniture or props used during shoot, make sure studio and controls are clean
c. Turn off equipment (unless another shoot immediately follows)
d. Return equipment to staff or intern and complete paperwork
e. If any items are missing or damaged, staff/intern must fill out the Missing/Damaged Equipment form and producer must sign and agree to return or pay for item
2. For Field
a. Present all equipment to staff/intern
b. Staff will test all equipment and inspect for damage or missing equipment
c. Complete paperwork
d. If any items are missing or damaged, staff/intern must fill out the Missing/Damaged Equipment form and producer must sign and agree to return or pay for item.
3. For Editing
a. Close all programs and log out of system
4. Sign out at front desk
