Purpose: to help us maximize our fundraising potential by finding suitable partnerships, get grants in on time, create a standard reporting template and calendar, and to help us develop new programs that are aimed at meeting the public’s needs.
Generally there are entire sections of public libraries that are filled with books specifically listing all of the private foundations and governmental entities that offer grants to non-profits. However, most of this information can probably also be found on the internet. Therefore a thorough internet search for private foundations or governmental entities that give out money should be done first. An Excel spreadsheet should be created that lists all of the websites for grants that were found.
