DOM offers training, equipment/studio rental, and video distribution
via the internet and our 3 community-programmed TV channels.
How to Access the Online Training Videos
The following steps will allow individuals to reserve a system in our lab and access the online training videos. In order to access the videos, users must have at least a Programming Membership. If you do not already have a Programming Membership, more information can be found here.
At this point, there is no limit on the amount of time users can reserve a system. But, please keep in mind that there is only one system to access these videos so please be mindful of other users.
1. Log-into your account on the Denver Open Media homepage.
2. Under My Member Tools (in the upper right-hand side) select Create Project.
3. Under Title type, Online Training
4. Under Description type, Lynda.com
5. Ignore ALL other fields and select Save.
6. This will now bring you to the Project page (Please note that this page is under development and looks somewhat confusing.)
7. You will now see a couple more boxes added to the right-hand navigation menu.
8. Select Create Reservation under My Project Tools.
On the Create a Reservation page:
1. Type in the date and time you want your reservation to begin.
2. Type in the date and time you want your reservation to end.
3. In the drop down menu under Reserve Item 1: Select Final Cut Pro Sytem 3
4. Click Save
5. Reservation confirmation will look like so:

If you ever need to cancel your reservation:
1. Log into your account on our homepage and click on My Reservations.
2. Locate the reservation that you would like to cancel adn click on the link.
3. Click on the grey Edit tab at the top of the pink box.
4. Scroll down to the bottom and press Delete
5. Confirm the delete.
Once you are in the lab:
1. From the Start Screen at System #3, click on the DOM Ingest icon. Type in DOM as the password (all caps.)
2. Once you are logged in, click on the Safari icon.
3. In the browser, type www.lynda.com
4. You should already be logged in. If you are not, please see someone for assistance.
5. Click on the link of the program you are interested in and start learning!
