Editing Lab Policies

*All equipment used under a membership, whether free or at reduced member rates, must be used to create programming that will air on DOM channels.

The computer stations are used by both FCP certified members and members who ingest and DOMinize programs for air on DOM channels.

Reservations

Members should reserve NLE stations in advance on the online scheduler to ensure availability. Walk-ins are welcome during our normal operating hours but members must make a reservation before use. If another reservation is made by another member the reservation on the schedule will be honored.

FCP Certified members

Login on computer as DOMFCP. This will give you access to the full range of FCP HD suite programs. Members working on projects may request storage space on a central network server. DOM will allocate 100 gigs of storage to be used be members for DOM programs. This is a working storage space and not meant for archival purposes. Please note that projects may be cleaned out after three months.

Ingesting/DOMinizing

Login on computer as DOM Ingest, this gives members access to all the tools needed to ingest programs, including MPEG Streamclip and FCP. FCP is to be used to capture only for members not certified in FCP. Please save any working files on the desktop.
