We receive lots of questions and requests for specific shows to be aired more regularly. Here is an example of such a request, followed by the answer these questions will always receive:
Tony
I was just wondering if you were going to air the "Words of Peace" segments more as they seam to have been space lately andI was enjoying them.
Thank you,
Bob Kelley
Robert,
I don’t personally put anything on-air or take it off. Our entire system is developed so that I don’t receive messages like this because I have nothing to do with scheduling and with a total staff of 4, we developed the system with the knowledge that we would not have time to deal with these kinds of requests. The ONLY way to improve your show’s likelihood of airing more is to get as many people as possible to log-on and vote on it. Right now, that voting can only happen while the show is airing (at deproduction.org/vote), but within a few weeks, you should be able to log in at any time, search for a show, and vote on it (only one vote per user).
I believe Neil is working with Ann to set a once-a week regular slot for the show (which is all that we guarantee any show). Beyond that, the shows will continue to be scheduled by our automated scheduling algorithm in the time slots set aside for the thematic block that show was assigned to by the producer who ingested it.
I’m working on getting a more detailed outline of the time-slots on the website so you know what theme blocks to watch for. Also, you can search the schedule on the website and it should show you any current upcoming schedulings of the show. Try typing "Peace" into the search field here, and you will see several upcoming airings of your show.
Keep in mind, we’re still a new station attempting to run 3 channels with 4 staff members and a lot of new, unproven, custom automation tools. There are going to be hiccups along the way, but with your support (and occasional ‘nagging’) things will get better and we’ll get it working.

I “TRY” TO WATCH DEMOCRACY NOW EVERY MORNING ON FREE SPEECH TV. HOWEVER FOR THE PAST 3 DAYS THERE HAS BEEN NO SOUND!!!
I CONTACTED FREE SPEECH TV AND THEY EXPLAINED THAT IT IS A PROBLEM ON YOUR END. SO I SAY – FIX IT AND FIX IT NOW!!!
WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU THAT YOU CAN’T ADDRESS THIS PROBLEM BY NOW??
THE ONLY EXCUSE I CAN IMAGINE THAT WOULD BE ACCEPTABLE IS THAT SOMEONE HAS SABOTAGED THIS PARTICULAR PROGRAM. IF SO I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW. IF NOT, THEN I THINK IT IS NTO TOO MUCH TO ASK THAT YOU GET THIS FIXED IMMEDIATELY!!

Denver Open Media is a community-run TV station, with a very small staff and no paid employees charged with reviewing content. With no government funding, we are doing the best we can to provide the community with an opportunity to get their own perspectives out on the air. Like YouTube, it is user-driven and we depend on viewers to report problems, which we then deal with promptly.
Your e-mail was the first we heard of this audio issue. Once reported, it took me about 3 minutes to resolve.
>WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU THAT YOU CAN’T ADDRESS THIS PROBLEM BY NOW??
What is wrong with us is that we have failed to educate viewers that we depend on them to report problems like this. We manage 3 channels, 24 hours a day, and even watching all that content would require 10 full-time employees, doing nothing but watching 72hrs of content each day. Without feedback from the viewers, we have no way of knowing if something is wrong with the content.
We’ll work to get the word out about this better.
Thank you for calling it to our attention, and nex time, please don’t wait “3 DAYS!!!”
