Congratulations Tony and Deproduction!
You've heard the news, now see the award ceremony! (Opens in a new window, Tony comes on about 13:00)
Las Vegas, Day 1
Brian and I arrived in Vegas today for the announcements of Deproduction/DOM's Knight News Challenge award. Vegas is certainly on my short-list of least-favorite cities in the country... and an odd place for this convention, but the city sure is an experience to witness. We showed up early to shoot some video, and had the rest of the day to do with as we please. Neither of us are too big on gambling (or have much money to gamble with), so we found other ways to entertain ourselves.

Work-free weekend
One of my first two-day weekends in years where I didn't work on Deproduction or DOM... so I figured I'd share what a weekend away from work looks like.

Left Brain Right Brain
Tonight was the DBUG - Denver Boulder (Drupal) Users Group, talking about a hot content management system which is in increasing demand - Popular Science's website uses it, Sony's got a site based on Drupal, and we were digging into the secrets and sharing ideas. Fourth Tuesday, if you're interested... One of the keys to Drupal-based sites is that maintenance can be pretty easy for computer-literate users, so there doesn't have to be an expert on call just to update the landing page.
Happy Earth Day!
Today was a busy work day, but on Sunday, we attended the Green Apple Festival, which took place in 8 cities across the country. There were loads of people there. It got me excited about the summer, and outdoor film screenings and music events like Jazz in the Park.
There's Deb in the middle admiring the little hula-hoopers, together with one of her closest friends, Erin Foley, taking a pic.
